Determine the mobility requirements for a Community.
Communities can be accessed on mobile devices using the Salesforce app or mobile browsers. Depending on the template used for a community, either of two options is available.
Lightning-based community templates are mobile-responsive. The layout of communities based on those templates adjusts to the screen size of the viewing device.

In addition to those, communities based on custom Lightning-based templates can be accessed with mobile browsers.
The Salesforce mobile app is available for Android and iOS. It app can be used to access the internal Salesforce org and communities which are not based on Lightning-based templates.

The Salesforce app can be used with all Salesforce editions, except for the Database.com Edition. Furthermore, it can be used by users assigned to any license type, except for:
