Determine the steps to install and set up Lightning components.
Lightning components can be added to Lightning-based community templates in Community Builder. Salesforce provides a number of standard components for communities, and additional components can be installed from AppExchanged or custom built.
Lightning components can be dragged and dropped from the Components panel in Community Builder onto community pages. Components added to a page can be further configured to control their behavior and appearance. The configuration options available depend on the individual component.

Lightning Components can be installed from AppExchange and used in Community Builder, to add the components to community pages.
Lightning-based community templates use the same Lightning Component Framework as Lightning Experience in the internal Salesforce org. Custom-built Lightning components can therefore be used in both the internal Salesforce org and external communities.
