Describe the information found in the company information (e.g., fiscal year, business hours, currency management, default settings).
Salesforce company settings are a collection global settings which describe a company's identify. They consist of company, fiscal year, and support information, as well as locale settings. Some of those settings are predefined when purchasing Salesforce, but they can be changed if needed.
The company information page shows relevant information about the company using a Salesforce org. Apart from contact information, it contains default locale and currency settings, as well as license and storage usage information.
Key Company Information:
By default, only one currency per company is enabled in a Salesforce org. However, multiple currencies can be enabled and used in a single org. Enabling this feature results in permanent changes and the multiple currencies cannot be deactivated later.
If multiple currencies are enabled, one default corporate currency can be defined and a list of additional currencies can be specified. Multiple currencies will introduce a new field on each object, to specify the relevant currency on record level. Exchange rates between the corporate currency and any other currency must be maintained manually. Changing the exchange rate of a currency updates currency values all records. To maintain historical exchange rates and values, dated exchange rates can be used with the advanced currency management feature.
